Happen to notice the JTV in the commercial has a tortoise shell pickguard. Is that an option? Looks so much better.
I was in charge of grabbing some of the gear for the commercial. That particular JTV belongs to an engineer named Randy at Line 6. He’s building it out of spare parts that come through the shop. Right now, the mag pickups work but the Variax guts are inoperative. I totally agree that Black and tortoise looks best. I’m not kidding- I almost took my JTV69-US apart so I could keep the black body and tort guard just until I give it back to the folks at Line 6. 🙂 But then I felt guilty because it felt like the same thing as stealing somebody’s wheels when you borrowed their car. 🙂
